After an easy outing for their Faculty of Arts and Letters Sportsfest opener, the Journalism Society Men's Basketball team ran into a brick wall, bowing out of the competition.
JRN failed to keep up with its opposition and succumbed to Legal Management, 75-47, Monday at the Kapatiran Gym.
LegMa used a strong mid quarters as they put up 17 points in the second period while limiting JRN to only nine and zoomed to a 26-11 third quarter.
Adap led the charge for Legal Management with 20 points while Pascual had 14 and Menguito 12.
Team captain Jan Ballesteros and sophomore Lui Rivera led Journ with 12 points each, while second year guard Michael Toledo added 10 markers.
Journ managed to stay close in the first quarter, 19-13, despite the size advantage of Legal Management but was committing turn overs and missing shots left and right in the next two chapters.
Journ outscored Leg Ma 14-13 in the fourth but the ball game was well beyond reach with more than eight minutes still left to play.
Only 10 players were present for the game, with Journ team head coach Sherwin Vardeleon also missing out the game. J
