Mike Jerome Infante, 2JRN1
A sporty guy, Mike loves to play. With his skills on various athletic games, Mike learned the value of discipline and perseverance. His sweet and friendly approach summarizes his traits: a total extremist. Since high school he has been joining pageants. He was in the senior year when his friends voted him as class representative in the contest that tests the whole personality: beauty and brains, head to toe. Win or lose, he said he would have still enjoyed the experience and met a lot of people, which for him is the most rewarding part of all. God, friends and family are his sources of inspiration. The support he gets gives him the courage to fight, and so does his faith in his self. “I think my appeal and unique style would make me win,” he confidently said. |
Christine Anne Paguirigan, 2JRN1
“I am fun and venturesome.” The character behind the beauty inside Christine is fearless when she said that though she is a diligent student, she is more of a happy-go-lucky AB sophomore. Last year, he joined a beauty contest to raise funds for their church, and now she is doing it for her block. She is now an edge away from the candidates, because previous competitions taught her the much needed wit and skill. But those experiences are nothing to brag about to other contestants, who are on a pageant for the first time. She commented humbly that each of them has their own unique character. |
“I do not know, really. All I want to do is have fun and cherish this experience,” she answered when asked about the specific trait that would give her the crown.
With her family and friends to support her, Christine is never forgets to also be thankful to God. She believes that doing her best in everything she does, is the most effective way to serve God.

Lord Bien Lelay, 2JRN2
A simple and near-introvert guy describes Lord Bien Lelay. He said all these can be attributed to his being a scholar, a debater, and a leader. Despite being the serious type, he said that there is a part of him which can be crazy. Breaking from joining quiz bees and mind-cracking contests, Bien enters the pageant. He is not familiar with it, but he sees it as a challenge that he should win. |
“I think that my uniqueness and humility will give me an edge,” he said.
And with the cliché, “may the best man win,” Bien sends his good luck to other contestants.
He draws inspiration primarily from his family and then his block mates, who are very supportive of him.
Years after graduation, Bien sees himself becoming one of the most credible journalists, but one still there to help his family.

Zsa Zsa Zorilla, 2JRN2
"I'm quirky and funny and a bit strict. Am a dead kid as per my blockmates,"said the mysterious Zorilla. " I am not an open book." With a workaholic attitude, this girl also loves adventures and doing spontaneous stuff. She says that her edge would have to be the experiences that she have gone through, making her "acquire more wisdom." Zsa zsa says that she sees herself to be a magazine writer in five years, though not discounting the possibility of working in a company as a researcher. She says, "If all else fails I will pursue the fashion industry and continue my passion which is being a makeup artist." |
The multi-faceted lady says that she draws inspiration from her daughter, Zophia. "She's my strength and she's the reason why I keep on moving forward," she said.
For all the marbles that is in this Saturday night, Zsa zsa can only say one thing.
"Let's enjoy the ride and learn from this." J
